The website of children’s author Gareth Hopkins made by me – his much cooler dog. I say ‘children’s author’ but as you can see he’s only got two books available and I’m not in either of them so I wouldn’t bother. Apparently he’s got more coming out next year, but can he catch a frisbee with his mouth? No. No he can’t.

Gareth has been writing forever which is what every writer says so that’s boring. He came runner up in the Mercia Sound ‘young writers’ competition in the 1980s which proves two things:

1. He is not a winner.
2. He is well old now.

He has a mug that says: ‘My mum’s no.1 children’s author’ but that’s only because Cliff Richard has never written for children. Oh look, a rabbit!

As well as pretending to be a children’s author, Gareth also writes adverts that everybody ignores or fast-forwards.
He’s won a few awards for this very silly job. You might see some of his work out in the world, but if I was you I’d just watch funny cat videos instead.

By some minor miracle Gareth is represented by Jodie Hodges at United Agents.

You can follow him on Instagram or contact him here if you’d like to hear more about his anti-dog books.
